Spanish P.M. in Brussels to confirm commitment to reforms

Madrid, Jun 5 (EFE).- Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and seven of his Cabinet ministers traveled to Brussels Wednesday to reaffirm his commitment to economic reforms to the European Commission.

Rajoy will meet with European Commission President Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, while his ministers will sit down with European commissioners for one-on-one meetings.

The Spanish prime minister was accompanied on the trip by his economic ministers - Luis de Guindos, Cristobal Montoro, Jose Manuel Soria, Fatima Bañez, Ana Pastor and Miguel Arias Cañete - Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo and Secretary of State for the European Union Iñigo Mendez de Vigo.

The Spanish officials plan to make it clear to their EU counterparts that Spain is fulfilling the terms of its agreements and the bloc must do more to deal with the economic crisis, government sources told Efe.
