Cartagena, Colombia, Jun 10 (EFE).- Spain's Pullmantur is making a big push to gain market share in the Caribbean cruise market.
The cruise ship Monarch will be offering year-round voyages in the Caribbean from five ports, the company said.
The Monarch, which can carry 2,769 passengers, has completed seven of the 53 voyages planned for the West Indies and southern Caribbean.
The ship is one of the best options in the cruise market for tourists from around the world, especially Latin America, who want to explore the region.
The magnificent Monarch has carried 5,229 passengers from the port of Cartagena, Colombia, and is expected to carry about 145,000 tourists over the next 10 months.
Passengers have the option of sailing from Curaçao, Aruba, La Guaira, Venezuela, and Colon, Panama.
The Monarch will be the first cruise ship to sail from the port of Cartagena, a long-time cruise destination, year-round.
