Mexico City, Jun 24 (EFE).- Singer Beyonce will make a stop in Mexico during her international Mrs. Carter Show tour, the U.S. artist said on her Web page on Monday.
The Sports Palace in the Mexican capital, a venue with a capacity of 20,000, on Sept. 26 will host the pop queen who popularized "Single Ladies."
This is the fourth international tour for the 31-year-old singer, who was the lead vocalist for the group Destiny's Chile, and its title is taken from the surname of her husband, rapper Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
The Mrs. Carter Show tour kicked off on April 15, 2013, in Belgrade, Serbia, and since then Beyonce has performed in countries such as Croatia, France and Britain. She will begin her set of concerts in the United States on June 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Beyonce will head to Latin America on Sept. 8, performing first in Brazil, where she will be the headliner for the first night of the Rock in Rio 2013 extravaganza, which will run in Rio de Janeiro from Sept. 13-22.
In addition to Brazil and Mexico, the artist will visit Venezuela and Puerto Rico.
