Moscow, Aug 16 (EFE).- Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce grabbed her second gold medal of the 2013 IAAF World Athletic Championships with a triumph here Friday in the women's 200-meter sprint.
The 26-year-old won the 100-meter sprint earlier this week at the event in Moscow.
Fraser-Pryce covered the 200 meters in 22.17 seconds, while Ivorian runner Murielle Ahoure picked up the silver medal and Nigeria's Blessing Okagbare took bronze.
Ahoure also finished second to the 5-foot-tall Jamaican in the 100 meters.
Allyson Felix of the United States saw her hopes for a ninth world title in the 200 meters shattered by a hamstring injury in the first few seconds of the race.
Fraser-Pryce and Felix shared sprint honors in the 2012 London Olympics, where the Jamaican prevailed in the 100 meters, but lost to her American rival in the 200-meter event.
