Buenos Aires, Sep 4 (EFE).- Soccer legend Diego Maradona has filed a contempt complaint against popular Argentine TV host Susana Gimenez after she talked on the air about his youngest son, Diego Fernando, an accusation the celebrity termed "stupidity."
"It's stupidity. We were friends; people change. I don't have the slightest idea why he did it. It's a pity to waste time on this nonsense," the actress and talk show host was quoted as saying by the local media.
Maradona filed the complaint after Veronica Ojeda, the former soccer great's ex-partner and mother of their infant son, Diego Fernando, appeared on Gimenez's talk show on June 3.
Prior to Ojeda's appearance on "Susana Gimenez," the Argentine former soccer great had secured a court order barring that program from showing his infant son on the air or talking about him.
Ojeda did not bring the six-month-old child on to the set of the show, but she did speak about him with Gimenez.
Maradona responded by filing a complaint against Gimenez for contempt of court, which is punishable under Argentine law by up to a year in prison.
