48,000 Syrians displaced into Lebanon in March

As many as 48,000 Syrians were forced to leave their war-torn country and seek shelter in Lebanon in March, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said Monday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

It added that thousands of refugees in Lebanon are still waiting for being registered with the UNHCR to benefit from the relief program.

The total number of Syrians and Palestinians displaced into Turkey, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt has hit 1 million, the UN statistic said.
