CM pays surprise visit to civil secretariat

Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Barozai Monday paid a surprise visit to civil Secretariat and inspected offices of different departments.

He expressed displeasure over cleanliness situation in the premises of secretariat and furniture placed in the galleries.

He described this furniture as unserviceable and termed it wastage of resources and directed it should be repaired immediately. He also directed for improving cleanliness situation in offices, galleries and premises for permanent basis.

Taking notice of absence of officials in the offices he directed all the secretaries to remain present in office and ensure presence of their staff also. He asked them to give time to people coming to secretariat for resolving their problems While directing suitable planning for saving water and energy at the secretariat Chief Minister said unnecessary lights should not be put on and use of government vehicles should be made suitable to save petrol and diesel.

Chief Minister also went to protesting representatives of Secretariat Officers Association and took stock of their problems. He termed their protest and dharna as unsuitable and said they should launch written campaign in support of their demands and avoid dharna and establishing protest camps. He asked them to end their dharna immediately as it wastes time.

He unfolded black bands from their arms and ended their protest. Then he went to the office of Chief Secretary and held a meeting with him. They exchanged views on matters about civil secretariat. Chief Secretary assured Chief Minister that his directives would be implemented with

immediate effect.
