Islamabad police on Monday claimed to bust a gang of dacoits, besides nabbing nine other outlaws, and recovered gold ornaments as well as weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Monday.
According to a press note issued from office of SSP Islamabad, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Hanif from Shahzad Town police station arrested four accused for their alleged involvement in dacoity and recovered gold ornaments, mobile phones and other snatched items from their possession. The nabbed dacoits have been identified as Asif, Naseer, Nasir and Zaheer.
ASI Ishtiaq Shah from Margalla Police station arrested three thieves Ghani-Ur-Rehman,Khurram Shahzad and Bilal besides recovering stolen items from them. Another accused Ishfaq was also arrested for possessing 30-bore pistol.
Meanwhile, Sub Inspector Abudl Waheed and ASI Fatha Sher from Koral police station apprehended Taimur, Shahzad and Atiq -Ur-Rehman for possessing 30 bore pistols and one 12 bore gun.
ASI Tansneem Ahmad from CIA police arrested three thieves Naveed, Munair Ahmad and Moqeem besides recovering stolen valuables from them. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them.
Inspector General of police Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this overall performance and directed all heads of police stations to ensure the arrest of anti-social elements and report to him on daily basis in this regard.
