Netherlands keen to provide technical support to build deep seaport

The Netherlands has shown interest to provide technical and technological supports to Bangladesh to help build a deep seaport and recover land in the Bay.

Netherlands Ambassador in Dhaka Gerben de Jong conveyed the interest during a meeting with Industries Minister Dilip Barua at Shilpa Bhaban on Thursday.

During the meeting, the Dutch envoy and the Industries Minister discussed issues of mutual cooperation, including Dutch support in renewable energy sector.

The Dutch envoy said his country has already innovated effective technologies for water resource management, facing natural disasters and land recovery. “Bangladesh can be benefited through proper application of the Dutch technologies.”
