Victoria Dementyeva; The state of human rights in Azerbaijan will be discussed at the 16th session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva between April 22 and May 3.
APA reports that the Azerbaijan-related report is expected to be adopted on May 2. The state of human rights in Azerbaijan was last discussed at the session of the Universal Periodic Review in 2009. Such sessions are held three times a year. Each of the session is devoted the review on the 16 countries. The review is made by three co-rapporteurs from various countries.
