Latif Khosa counsel for Rehman Malik has said in Supreme Court (SC) no contempt of case can be instituted against his client as SC had not issued any order for appointing Tariq Khosa as investigation officer in Pakistan Steel Mills scam.
A special bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry Friday resumed the hearing of intra court appeal filed by Rehman Malik.
Latif Khosa advocate and former interior minister Rehman Malik appeared before the court.
Latif Khosa argued “ contempt of court case cannot be instituted against Rehman Malik because SC had not issued orders to nominate Tariq Khosa as investigation officer in Pakistan steel mills scam nor the powers of promoting officers of grade 21 to 22 rest with Rehman Malik as it is domain of only Prime Minister.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till April 2.
