JI demands lifting ban on pillion riding

Former lawmakers of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) have demanded of the Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi to lift pillion riding ban immediately.

In a statement here on Tuesday they termed the ban an unjustified act with the people of the city.

In a joint statement, former JI legislators including Muzaffar Hashmi, Laeeq Khan, Nasrullah Shajih, Hameedullah Advocate and Younus Barai also expressed deep concern over the CNG closure and said that the people are facing immense hardships in travelling by the suspension of CNG gas.

“ The crime rate is on the rise despite ban on pillion riding, however, the innocent people are being badly affected by it”, they added.
