Gulf Travel School at the National Hospitality Institute in Oman has retained its position for the third consecutive year as one of IATA’s (International Air Traffic Association) top ten training centre’s in the Middle East.
In addition to this the 2013 list shows NHI as the only centre in Oman to achieve this status.
The award was presented at the Global conference of IATA in Abu Dhabi in March this year. Cleon Dias - learning and development manager for NHI who received the award said, “I am delighted for the NHI team who thoroughly deserve this accolade. We are keen to develop more programmes with IATA to suit the needs of the growing travel industry in Oman and you will see developments unfold this year.”
IATA is recognised worldwide as the leading travel organization for the development of people in line with the changes and growth of international airlines.
Ismail Albaidhani, head, global partnerships and learning innovation, IATA said, “NHI is driving the development of the human capital of our Travel & Tourism industry in Oman, they have achieved the highest level of excellence in the Middle East region and we congratulate them for this great achievement”.
