At least three persons have been killed in firing incidents in different areas of Karachi, officials said on Saturday.

According to police and rescue sources, three persons were killed in firing incidents that took place in Al-Asif Square and Aath Chowk Lyari.

On the other hand, Rangers conducted a search operation in Lyari area of the city and arrested two suspected people in injured condition after exchange of fire.

A Rangers official was also injured in the firing.

According to the reports, Rangers raided the area after receiving information about killers involved in a trader’s murder in Empress Market.

When the killers saw Rangers coming to them, they started firing and injured one Rangers’ man.

The residents of the area blocked the main road and staged a protest against Rangers’ raids and operations.

The protesters burnt tyres, chanted slogans and blocked the road that caused traffic jam.

They said that the Rangers arrest innocent people and do not catch the real terrorists and criminals.
