The Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK Prime Minister Ch. Abdul Majeed has said that people of Azad Kashmir would be provided modern facilities.
He was addressing a special meeting of cabinet development committee in Islamabad on Friday. The Prime Minister directed the concerned department to ensure provision of modern facilities to the people of remote areas including of Neelum Valley‚ and Forward Kahuta.
He said that apart from 969 megawatt Neelum Jhelum hydropower project a number of other small Hydel Power projects are underway to overcome the power crisis in the country. He said that tourism has enormous potential in AJK and revealed that tourist complex would be constructed in Muzaffarabad for promotion of tourism sector. He said irrigation system would also be improved to exploit the agricultural potential in the state and several small dams would be constructed in this regard.
The Prime Minister told meeting that government has formulated a comprehensive policy to provide incentives to foreign investors‚ which would promote investments in the AJK for the economic progress and prosperity of the state.
