Clarity on the Tshwane/Pretoria name change issue could be expected soon, the Pretoria News reported today.
It quoted mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa as saying a decision on the matter would be announced within weeks by Arts and Culture Minister Paul Mashatile.
Ramokgopa said a name change report for the capital city would be tabled at the Tshwane Metro Council’s monthly meeting next month.
He also announced that the dual street name signs displayed on 27 streets in the city would now be removed, after the expiration of a set six-months' period.
