Jamaat-e-Islami JI Karachi chapter amir Muhammad Hussain Mehanti has demanded of the caretaker government and law enforcing agencies to implement the Supreme Court verdict regarding elimination of ‘no-go’ areas in Karachi.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, JI Karachi Chief welcomed the verdict of apex court and stressed upon the need to ensure prompt action over the decision in its true spirit.
Mehanti said that it is imperative to eliminate ‘no-go’ areas for holding transparent elections, so that all political and religious parties can freely ran its election campaign without fearing to enter into any area.
“The confession of Rangers and police officials about the presence of ‘no-go’ areas in the city has proved that the criminal elements have held hostage the people of the city”, he added.
He said that the elections will definitely change the destiny of the people and it is the obligation of caretaker government to implement the decision of Supreme Court.
