Election commission urged to reject nomination of former MPA

Syed Akbar from Pakha Ghulam has appealed Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court PHC to take notice of the former MPA Pervez Ahmad Khan for not paying him Rs16.5million in head of lands.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, he also demanded of Election Commission EC to reject his nomination papers unless he pays the concerned amount to him.

Giving details, he said that he had purchased lands measuring 34 Jareeb from the ex-MPA’s father at Rs0.3million per jareeb in District Nowshera in 2007. However, after three years when the rate of the land increased due to motorway the MPA started threatening him to return the land.

He accused Pervez Ahmad for firing upon his family members to intimidate them to return the lands.est Upon the request of his father he later returned 5 Jareb to Pervez Ahmad Khan. However the former MPA was insisting to for the remaining land which he later returned to him, he added.

However the MPA had paid on ly Rs 2 million and promised to return the remaining amount 16.5 which he yet to pay.

Since two years had been passed but the former MPA was now willing to pay the amount.. “He was MPA and used police force against us whenever we demand the payment of the amount,” he alleged.
