In Feb, Lithuanian retail trade volume down 0.1 pct, but up 2 pct y-o-y

In February, the volume of retail trade in Lithuania decreased by 0.1 percent, but was by 2 percent bigger than in February of 2012.

In February 2013 compared with January 2013, the volume of retail trade fell by 0.3 percent in the euro area (EA17) and remained stable in the EU27, Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, reports. In January retail trade rose by 0.9 percent and 0.8 percent respectively.

In February 2013 compared with February 2012, the retail sales index dropped by 1.4 percent in the euro area and by 0.2 percent in the EU27.
