At the moment, Juska is ranked 391st in the ATP rankings, while Balleret is ranked 586th. The doubles match-up will be played on Saturday, while the final two singles matches will be played on Sunday.
The winner of the Latvia/Monaco match-up will play the winner of the Finland/Ireland match-up in the tournament's next round. In order for Latvia to return to the Davis Cup's Europe/Africa Group I, it must qualify for the finals of Europe/Africa Group II.
