JI pledges to give Karachi peace

Jamaat-e-Islami JI has become the ray of hope for 180million people of the country and it is an only party committed to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state, said JI Sind chapter amir Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui addressing a workers’ convention in North Nazimabad here.

He said that the day of May 11 will prove a doomsday for terrorists, extortionists and target killers of Karachi. He said that the JI will take sincere efforts to change the destiny of Karachiites. He said the winds of change are blowing and the day would be not far when the country, particularly Karachi, become a centre of peace and tranquillity.

He said that the deteriorated law and order in Karachi has included the city among six most dangerous cities of the world. He said 900 people were killed during 3 months in Karachi. However, the previous government and its allies did nothing for restoration of peace in the city.

JI Karachi chapter General Secretary Naseem Siddiqui said that their basic aim of participating in the general elections is to ensure peaceful transition of power to honest and committed leadership. “We want to make Pakistan a welfare state on the model of the State of Madina where every person enjoys equal rights.”

He said that JI wants to eliminate inflation, unemployment, extortion and load shedding and to give exemplary boost to education and healthcare sectors.

Naib Ameer JI Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the JI is capable to implement on its manifesto in true letter and spirit, adding it will bring a revolution after winning the election.

He said that in past the identity of this city were the glorious names like Maulana Shah Ahmed Noorani and Prof Ghafoor Ahmed while today the city is being identified with ‘Langras’ and ‘Kanas’.

Chief of JI District Central Farooq Naimatullah also spoke.
