Liberalization of Latvia's gas market on Medvedev's mind at meeting

This evening in St. Petersburg, where the Baltic Sea Forum was held today, a meeting took place between Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev and Prime Minister Valdis Dombrovskis, where they concentrated on the liberalization of Latvia's natural gas market. Dombrovskis promised to respects the state's obligations vis-a-vis the privatization agreement with "Latvijas Gaze" (LG).

At the meeting was "Gazprom" President Alexei Miller, invited by the Russian side. The Latvian PM declared that Latvia is ready for constructive talks with the LG shareholders to find a balanced, prudent solution.
