RAK Ruler gets largest ID card bearing his name

H. H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, today at al Dhait Palace, received the identity card bearing his name within the event of the largest national identity card, in the framework of " Khalifa in World Languages" project, the National project launched by the Sultan bin Zayed Centre for Culture and Media. The biggest ID card has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

The ID card was handed out to Sheikh Saud by a delegation from the Sultan bin Zayed Centre for Culture and Media led by Mohammed Mania' Al Mansouri, Acting Director of the Department of Culture and Information.

During the meeting, Sheikh Saud welcomed the nationl project, which bears the name of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stressing that the people of the UAE are proud of their belonging and loyalty to the homeland and its leadership as well as they respect and appreciate other people and their achievements.

For his part Al Mansouri said the Centre has adopted the " Khalifa in World Languages" project out of its keenness to support national initiatives and support young people and their ideas that serve the homeland and enhance their loyalty to the wise leadership.

The card is 1.4 metres long and 0.86 metres wide making it almost 20 times the size of the original National ID card.
