Weekend will remain cold; spring-like weather to gradually arrive next week

This weekend will remain unseasonably cold, as temperatures at night in some areas will drop to minus 12 degrees Celsius, however, spring-like weather is expected to gradually - but finally, arrive next week.

The Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center informed LETA that winter weather conditions remain in the forecast this weekend, as well as the beginning of next week, with snow and wet-snow in the forecast.

Temperatures at night will be below zero degrees Celsius, while temperatures during the day will be a bit above zero degrees. Temperatures on Sunday night could drop to minus 12 degrees Celsius.

Weather conditions are expected to improve between Tuesday and Thursday of next week and should be dry throughout the country. Temperatures during the day will remain the same, several degrees above zero, while temperatures at night will be a bit warmer.

Spring-like weather conditions are expected to arrive in Latvia at the end of next week. Temperatures during the day will be from five to 10 degrees Celsius, while temperatures at night will be from minus two to three degrees Celsius.
