Bandits loot Rs1.4 million from bank

Bandits robbed Rs1.4 million with the help of bank security guard at Liberty Chowk, Tariq Road within the remits of Ferozabad police station. Police said that bandits barged into the bank with the help of security guard Sardar Gull before the arrival of bank staffers.

Police said that four bandits held the staffers hostage on gunpoint as they reached to join duty and collected money without the fear of apprehension. Police said that bandits also took way the security cameras installed. Police registered a case on the complaint of bank manager Arif. It is worth mentioning here that it was the 10th bank robbery took place in the outgoing year.

THREE KILLED: Three people were killed in different incidents of violence while the drive of targeted operation continued in the City. Some unidentified armed culprits killed a man Sher Ali near Khyber hotel in the limits of Manghopir police station.

Police said the incident occurred when the victim was on his way to home located at Bukhari Colony when unidentified motorcyclists targeted him multiple times and managed to flee.

Police said the victim hailed from Darrah Adam Khail. He was shifted to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy where doctors handed the body over to the family after autopsy. Separately, police found two dead bodies near form Nagan Chowrangi and Malir Checkpost.

Taimoria Police found a tortured-mark body of a young man. Police said the identity of the victim yet to be ascertained while the body was moved morgue after autopsy at Abbasi Saheed Hospital.

On the other side, Malir Cantt Police found a body of 35-year-old man, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, near Agha graveyard. The body was shifted to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the drive against the criminals and terrorists continued in the city and law enforcers claimed to have arrested at least 24 people allegedly involved in various criminal activities.

Rangers spokesman said the operation conducted in different areas, including Sherpao Colony, Patel Para, Jehangir Road, Baloch Para and other areas. He said arrested culprits were affiliated with outlawed organisations while recovered huge cache of weapons.

On the other hand, police personnel along with women searchers conducted targeted operation in Patel Para and Jahangir Road, Baloch Para and took 33 suspects into custody. The arrested suspects were taken to the different police stations for investigation.
