The Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has given one month extension to Pakistani Hindus, who have refused to go back to their country due to terror incidents there.
Reports Tuesday claimed that the Indian ministry gave one month extension to the Pakistani Hindus after their visas expired.
As per report, hundreds of Pakistan Hindu families are currently living in shelter homes in India since November 2011 after their tourist visas expired. Currently, there are more than 450 Pakistani citizens living in various shelter homes across various states in India.
The Hindus constituted 22 per cent of the Pakistani population in 1951. Today, their share is down to less than 2 per cent with a majority of Hindu families living in the Sindh region. Pakistan is home to world’s fifth largest Hindu population in the world.
