Al-Khidmat Foundation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organised a workshop for street children here in Child Protection Centre (CPC) Akhundabad.
The title of the workshop was the role of parents in the grooming of their children. Professor Dr Rahim Khan was the chief guest on the occasion.
Besides, Project Officer, Child Protection Centre, Mushtaq Khan, Media Officer, Ahmad Abdullah and teacher Wasim Ahmad, street children and their parents attended.
Addressing the participants, the chief guest highlighted the role of teachers and parents in the grooming of children, saying proper attention convert children into capable and useful citizens of the country.
The maximum responsibility of the grooming of children, he said lay on the parents. He said that according to a research the role of society is 3 per cent, institutional role 15 per cent while the remaining 82 per cent responsibility rests with the parents of the children.
