CJ CheilJedang Corp., South Korea's largest food firm, said Tuesday it will complete its second dumpling plant in Fullerton, Calif. in the United States by 2014.
CJ CheilJedang started work on the plant last month, the company said in a statement. Once the plant is completed, CJ CheilJedang could annually produce 9,000 tons of dumpling in the U.S. along with its first U.S. plant in Paramount, Calif., the company said.
Meanwhile, CJ CheilJedang said it has bought stakes in TMI Trading Corp., Twin Marquis Inc. and Chef One Corp. under TMI Food Group, an Asian food company in New York.
