Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai inaugurated cleanliness campaign and gave approval to the uplift projects of the beautification of Quetta during his visit to the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation here.
Secretary local bodies, Mehmoodul Hasan, Principal Secretary to CM Sarwar Javed, Commissioner Quetta Qambar Dashti, SSP Traffic, and Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation were also present.
Caretaker CM Balochistan was briefed that by dividing provincial capital in different zones, cleanliness drive has been launched. He was also apprised about the dearth of the machinery and lack of manpower available to the department for maintaining cleanliness in the city.
CM on the occasion urged the officials concerned to ensure that drive for improvement of hygienic conditions is continued for complete year with active participation of the members of civil society in the drive. He also stressed the need for engaging the traders and their unions for acquiring maximum results of the campaign.
Nawab Barozai issued directives for removal of the encroachment and registration of the pushcarts to overcome the issue of traffic in the provincial capital.
