Expect light rains over extreme Northern Luzon as the diffused tail-end of a cold front continues to affect this area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Thursday.
The tail-end of a cold front is the front boundary of two air masses, which produces clouds and rain.
In its advisory, PAGASA said that Cagayan Valley region will experience cloudy skies with light rains.
The easterlies, or warm winds from the east continue to affect the eastern section of the country so expect hot weather and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
The rest of the country including Metro Manila will continue to experience mixture of sunny and rainy weather due to localizedthunderstorms.
The thunderstorms are due to the evaporation of water caused by the warm weather.
The temperature for Metro Manila will range from 24-35 degrees Celsius for Friday.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
