HSC examinee dies in Ctg exam hall

A HSC examinee died in the examination hall at Rangunia upazila of the district on Monday, reports BSS. The deceased was identified as Saber Ahmed, 19, son of Fazal Ahmed, hailed from North Naogaon area of the upazila.

Saber was sitting for the Bengali first paper examination of the ongoing HSC examination under Business Studies group from Rangunia College.

The tragic incident occurred at North Rangunia Degree College examination centre around 12pm. Sources said Saber suddenly fell ill in the examination hall and he himself poured water on his head from a tube well.

As his condition deteriorated, he was instantly treated by a local doctor and later taken to the Upazila Health Complex (UHC) where attending doctors declared him dead. Attending doctors at the UHC said Saber died of cardiac arrest. The incident cast a pall of gloom in the exam hall as well as in the locality.
