Provincial President Awami National Party (ANP) Senator Afrasiab Khattak has said that the ANP has rendered numerous sacrifices for the cause of its land and the time has come when the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will re-elect the nationalist party’s candidates in the up-coming elections.
Talking to a delegation of Malgari Doctaran, and Malgari Wakeelan here at Bacha Khan Bacha Khan Markaz Peshawar on Monday, Afrasiab Khattak enumerated the sacrifices of his party and paid rich tributes to those who were martyred for the cause of their land.
He said that Pakhtuns would not forget the names of ANP leader Bashir Ahmad Bilour, Dr Shamsher Ali, former MPA Alamzeb, Mian Rashid Hussain and Hanif Jadoon.
He said that despite poor law and order situation, the ANP had completed mega developmental projects. He said that the ANP had empowered the province financially by bringing the NFC award and net hydal profit. He informed that the nationalist party would soon start masses contact campaign to appraise the masses regarding its manifesto.
He said that despite five years in government Jamaat-e-Islami has been failed in the imposition of Islamic Shariah and now in the name of Islam, they were once again cheating the masses to secure maximum seats.
He maintained that if any one assesses their candidate, they have given party tickets to notorious people instead of religious clerics. He said that the roots of Awami National Party are present in the heart of Pakhtuns and they would not trust other except the party of non-violent philosopher Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan.
