Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council to hold meeting in June 2013

Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan Intergovernmental Council will hold a meeting in June of the current year, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov stated at a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Erlan Abdyldaev.

"In June, the Intergovernmental Council between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will hold a meeting, which will be attended by our Prime Minister. Prior to this meeting our bilateral commission will hold sittings," Idrisov said.

According to the Minister, at today's meeting the parties discussed the multifaceted cooperation between the two republics at the regional and global levels.

"Kazakhstan expects the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with a state visit. This year Kazakhstan will hold the Days of Kyrgyz Culture. This year marks the 85th anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov," Idrisov concluded.
