The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB), has replaced a 150 feet long 24 inches diameter main line in North Nazimabad Block-J, here.
The line has been replaced on the directives of Acting Managing Director Water Board Iftikhar Ahmed Khan, said a statement issued by the KW&SB here on Thursday.
The line was damaged during the rain disrupting the water supply to North Nazimabad Block-J and adjoining areas.
The Acting MD Water Board had directed Chief Engineer District Central Faheem Zaidi to repair the line on emergency basis in order to ensure that the sewerage problem in the area is resolved.
Chief Engineer Central Faheem Zaidi complying with the directives executed the replacement of 150 feet long main sewerage line overnight resuming swift sewage in the area.
Acting M.D Iftikhar Ahmed Khan and Deputy Commissioner Central Dr. Saif-ur-Rehman also visited the location for inspection of the work.
On this occasion they praised the efforts of KW&SB team that worked hard to replace the line overnight.
The expressed their satisfaction on the replacement of the line, resumed the sewage system in the area.
