Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Syed Munawar Hasan on Sunday said that the chapter of seat adjustment with any party had been closed and the party would contest elections individually. He was talking to media persons before the departure of a ‘Tarazu Road Karawan’ from Karachi to Peshawar, organised by Shabab-e-Milli here. Munawar Hasan said the seat adjustment chapter had been closed in Khyber-Pukhtunkhwa (KPK) by Jamiat Ulema-i- Islam-F and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and in Punjab by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. He claimed that the JI was a ray of hope for the deprived people. Earlier addressing the Karawan, the JI chief appealed to the youth to vote for ‘Tarazu’ to make the country prosperous and wealthy. The JI, after coming to power, would eliminate corruption, extortion and terrorism from the country, he claimed.
He also termed the 10-party party a pleasant change.
Munawar Hasan demanded of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the paid advertisement of different political parties on various TV channels.
