Anonymous intercepts FBI and Scotland Yard call
Anonymous, the internet hacker “collective," claimed it had intercepted a call between the FBI and Scotland Yard on the topic of cybercrime, reported the Associated Press.
The FBI confirmed that the interception was legitimate after Anonymous published a 15-minute-long recording of the conference call which dealt with how to track and prosecute members of the group.
According to BBC, the conversation that was intercepted discussed dates of planned arrests and details of evidence that the police had obtained. Anonymous also published an email detailing how to access the call as well as the emails of those involved.
The FBI said in a statement, “A criminal investigation is under way to identify and hold accountable those responsible.”
The group tweeted:
"The #FBI might be curious how we're able to continuously read their internal comms for some time now. #OpInfiltration"

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that Anonymous also hacked the Greek justice ministry’s website in protest of Greece’s European Union and International Monetary Fund-inspired austerity measures.
A two-minute video said, “You have joined the IMF against your people's acquiescence… democracy was given birth in your country but you have killed it.”
