AirAsia Japan said Friday it is suspending 14 daily flights including those on the Nagoya-Seoul route in September and October, resulting in cancellations of 604 flights, because of the need to return aircraft to Malaysia's AirAsia Bhd as business collaboration ends.
Passengers who have booked affected flights will be rebooked on other flights or will be refunded, the airline said. Other temporarily suspended services are on the Tokyo-Sapporo, Tokyo-Okinawa, Nagoya-Fukuoka and Nagoya-Sapporo routes.
AirAsia Japan is rebranding itself after October following the announcement last month that its parent companies -- AirAsia and Japan's ANA Holdings Inc. are dissolving the two-year-old partnership.
