The Finance Ministry released corrections Thursday for Japan's trade data with the European Union in July, saying it calculated some figures without taking into account Croatia joining the economic grouping that month.
The ministry did not change the settings of a system to compute the results of Japan's exports and imports with the region, after its member countries increased to 28 on July 1, an official said, apologizing for the bungle.
