N. Korea raps Abe for making offering at war-linked shrine

North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency published Tuesday a commentary bashing Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for making an offering during the annual autumn festival at the war-linked Yasukuni Shrine.

Referring also to Japanese parliamentarians' visit last week to the shrine, which honors Class-A war criminals along with Japan's war dead, the agency said, "This militarist act is as hideous and serious as a war crime committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past."

It continued that the act was "aimed to laud as 'heroes' those fascists and murderers who committed crimes against humanity and step up the preparations for turning the country into a military giant and launching reinvasion."
