Japan Post Co. will start offering online merchants a full range of order fulfillment services from inventory management, shipping to payment this fall using its nationwide warehousing and distribution network, the company said Tuesday.
The company will also help businesses wishing to sell local specialties but not adept at computers to set up their online operations from the scratch.
The post company will also manage orders from buyers, print invoices, package deliveries and handle credit card payments and bank transfers.
Its warehousing facilities will be expanded to around 130,000 square meters by fiscal 2016, a roughly seven-fold increase from its current capacity, said the unit of Japan Post Holdings Co.
