More bad news for Mitt Romney. This time in his father’s back yard.
The former Massachusetts governor saw a string of losses to former Sen Rick Santorum last week and could only console himself with two narrow, heavily qualified victories in a straw poll and the Maine caucuses.
Now this: a new poll released today by American Research Group shows Santorum leading Romney in the state of Michigan by six points: 33 percent to 27 percent.
Michigan holds its primary in 15 days.

The Democratic Party-aligned Public Policy Polling last week gave Santorum a 15 point lead nationwide.
The Michigan results are particularly stinging for Romney, whose father was once governor in the state.
According to USA Today, Santorum has routinely emphasized his own blue collar roots, appealing to manufacturing workers in the state. Santorum has said he could do "exceptionally well" in Michigan and Arizona, the next two states to vote, according to USA Today.
