Paul Ryan's tax returns, or lack thereof (VIDEO)

Following Romney, Paul Ryan will only release two years of tax returns.

Yesterday Paul Ryan told 60 Minutes he would release only 2 years of tax returns, the same as running mate Mitt Romney. 

Last night on 60 minutes Ryan said he provided vetters with "several" years of tax returns. 

That means, as Talking Points Memo succinctly put it: "Mitt Romney knows more about Paul Ryan’s taxes than America will."

So far Ryan has rejected calls from Democrats and Republicans to provide more tax returns.

Ryan's response:

“I think these issues are more or less distractions to try and take us off the fact that the president has given us failed policies that are putting us deeper into debt, that are costing us jobs." 

Former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty told ABC's "This Week" that when he was vetted by Romney's camp he provided more than two years of tax returns. 

"Well, we don't get into the details of the vetting process, but I gave him a bunch of tax returns," Pawlenty said. "I don't remember the exact number of years."
