Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who was with Santos in a meeting, said the drug lord will be brought to the country’s capital of Caracas and then sent to Colombia.

Despite their ideological differences, Chavez and Santos have made moves to improve ties between the countries, including increased security cooperation between the two, the AFP reported

The US State Department has Bonilla on its top eight most-wanted Colombian drug traffickers, alleging he sent thousands of pounds of cocain to the US through Central American and Mexico. He is believed to deal extensively with Mexico’s deadly Zetas drug cartel.
