The Secret Service officials accused of misconduct in Cartagena, Colombia may have gotten themselves in trouble by talking too much.

The Secret Service spent the night drinking expensive whiskey and receiving services from the "highest category" prostitutes at a popular brothel in Cartagena, a bouncer and a police source told ABC.

The Associated Press reports that at least 20, perhaps 21 prostitutes are now thought to have been involved but that the White House continues to support Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan. Republican Senator Susan Collins said Sullivan had revealed the number of suspected prostitutes to her in a briefing.

The Secret Service officers allegedly tried to impress people at the brothel by discussing their jobs. But by doing so, they also revealed their identities. They bragged that "we work for Obama" and "we're here to protect him," according to ABC

The prostitutes, however, may not have been so impressed. News of the Secret Service officials' alleged partying first broke because a prostitute contacted local police, claiming the officials refused to pay her for her services, MSNBC reported.

Originally, 11 Secret Service officers were being investigated for misconduct during a Summit of the Americas conference in Colombia. But now it may be as many as 20 Secret Service and military personnel involved in the hotel misconduct in Cartagena, the Washington Post reported

"Cartagena didn't benefit one cent from President Obama's visit. All people remember are that the Secret Service agents slept with our prostitutes," a local man told ABC
