GUADALAJARA, Mexico – The Mexican navy said Monday it has captured a suspected drug dealer carrying the ID cards of a newspaper employee whose dismembered body was found along with those of three photographers in the Gulf state of Veracruz in May.

Juan Carlos Hernandez Pulido, who is believed to be a member of the Jalisco New Generation drug cartel, was arrested during a raid in the port city of Veracruz on Friday, Milenio reported today.

Hernandez Pulido was carrying the ID cards of Ana Irasema Becerra Jimenez, who was an administrative worker for the Veracruz newspaper El Dictamen and the girlfriend of one of the slain photographers, the Agence France-Presse reported.

The photographers were Gabriel Huge, Guillermo Luna and Esteban Rodriguez.
