The Vice President says Iran will be "held accountable" for their alleged assassination attempt.
Vice President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Iran must be "held accountable" for their "over the top" assassination attempt on the Saudi ambassador to the United States, reports Politico.
“It’s an outrage that violates one of the fundamental premises of on which nations deal with one another and that is the sanctity and safety of their diplomats,” Biden reportedly said on “Good Morning America.” “This is really over the top. They have to be held accountable and we’re in the process of uniting world public opinion toward continuing to isolate and condemn their behavior.”
The U.S. government charged two men yesterday with the alleged assassination attempt on Saudi Arabia's U.S. Ambassador Adel Al-Jubeir, as well as attempting to bomb the Saudi and Israeli embassies in Washington, DC, according to the National Journal.
