The wife of Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has been largely absent from the public spotlight as the candidate rises in the polls and, as of Sunday night, faces questions over allegations of past sexual harassment. But that is likely to change soon.
Cain has said that his wife, Gloria Cain, will soon emerge.

“You will meet my wife publicly, in an exclusive interview that we are currently planning and anticipating,” Cain reportedly said on Fox News Monday. “She will be introduced in terms of some limited exposure. But it’s not her style for her to be with me on every campaign stop.”
Politico reports that Gloria Cain is likely to be on Fox News at the end of this week.
He went on to say that his wife "represents that calm and tranquility that I look forward to seeing when I get home.”
While Cain's wife has not been seen at every campaign stop, she has been in the news this week after questions surfaced regarding her husband's past allegations of sexual harassment.
Cain acknowledged Monday that one claim of sexual harassment was filed against him when he was the head of the National Restaurant Association. He said the accuser, who received a payment from the association in exchange for not pursuing the issue, was upset with Cain after he compared her height to his wife's. Both women are apparently five feet tall.
Cain has spoke of his wife as a source of stability and comfort, the Washington Post reports.
Cain has called his wife an oasis, an island of normalcy and stability, in what has been a whirlwind of attention on the campaign trail. Her absence on the hustings signaled her full presence on the homefront. Even when Gloria Cain appeared with her husband as he announced his candidacy last May, the mother of two and grandmother of three did not speak publicly.
