Herman Cain accusers: Details emerge (Video)

Herman Cain is revealing more details about the circumstances surrounding the sexual harassment allegations made against him while he was the head of the National Restaurant Association in the mid-1990s.

Cain recalled additional “ridiculous” incidents found in one of his accuser’s complaint during Monday television interviews, but he said he did not remember the reasons for the second sexual harassment allegation, according to Politico.

In an interview with Greta van Susteren, Cain said he remembered one incident from the complaint.

The Atlantic reports:

"She was in my office one day, and I made a gesture saying -- and I was standing close to her -- and I made a gesture saying you are the same height as my wife ... And I brought my hand up to my chin saying, 'My wife comes up to my chin.'" No one saw it, Cain said, because "she couldn't find any witnesses to corroborate her story," even though, "That one little incident about the height thing was in my office, door open, plain view. My secretary is sitting right outside the office."

There were other incidents included in the sexual harassment complaint, but during an interview with Robin Meade on Headline News, Cain said he does not remember them because “they were so ridiculous.”

Cain said the woman, in her 30s or 40s, was a writer in the communications department but her boss had told him that her work was “not up to par.” He said he doesn’t remember her name.

Cain acknowledged the accuser did receive a money payment after a settlement process that took six to nine months, according to CNN.

When van Susteren asked how much the woman received, The Atlantic reports Cain responded:

"Thousands, but I don't remember a number. But then he said, The good news is because there was no basis for this, we ended up settling for what would have been a termination settlement ... Maybe three months' salary or something like that, just vaguely trying to recall it."

But Cain said he was “totally unaware” about the allegations from the second woman who accused him of sexual harassment, according to The Atlantic. He said she was an employee in the governmental affairs department at the association and managed the political action committee.

Cain said there was no settlement in that incident.

"I would know if there had been some formal complaint because my general counsel would have advised me to settle if it was serious for whatever reason,” he said. “But I'm not even aware that a complaint was made."
