CNN political analyst, Dana Loesch, wants ‘one million cool points’ for Marines urinating on Taliban corpses

Conservative CNN political analyst Dana Loesch defended the US Marines who allegedly urinated on the corpses of Taliban fighters on her radio show, incredulous as how the incident could cause such a scandal.

Loesch gave the Marines “one million cool points” and said she would “drop trou” and do it herself.

The four US Marines depicted urinating on the bodies of dead Taliban fighters were identified as members of the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, which fought for seven months in the southern Afghan province of Helmand.

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and officials from several US military agencies have publicly denounced the footage following Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s condemnation of the video.

Loesch said on her show Thursday:

"Can someone explain to me if there's supposed to be a scandal that someone pees on the corpse of a Taliban fighter? Someone who, as part of an organization, murdered over 3,000 Americans? I'd drop trou and do it too. That's me though. I want a million cool points for these guys. Is that harsh to say? Come on people, this is a war. What do you think this is?"

Politico’s Dylan Byers noted CNN hired Loesch to join the “Best Political Team on Television” last February to bring in voices across the political spectrum.

CNN released a statement Friday in response to Loesch's comments:

“CNN contributors are commentators who express a wide range of viewpoints—on and off of CNN—that often provoke strong agreement or disagreement. Their viewpoints are their own.”
