The second day of testimony in the trial of Jerry Sandusky, former Penn State assistant football coach, began with several bombshell accusations coming from one man only known as "Victim 1."
The young man, who is now 18, tearfully told jurors that the former Penn State assistant football coach performed oral sex on him after meeting him through his charity, the Second Mile, according to CBS. He told jurors Sandusky would fondle him, kiss him and ultimately engaged in a sex act with him.
"After kissing my forehead and cheek, he moved to my lips. He kissed my lips, then he moved to my back again... Then he started to rub underneath my shorts," the man said.
He told jurors he would just "space out" when Sandusky would sexually abuse him.
The man alleged that Sandusky began abusing him when he was 11 years old, and continued to abuse him for four years, according to USA Today.
It was victim 1's mother who first became suspicious of Sandusky’s alleged behavior. She went to state youth authorities in 2008, which prompted the criminal investigation.
Victim 1's testimony followed yesterday's testimony by Victim 4. The man, now 28, told jurors that he and Sandusky engaged in “soap battles” in campus showers and in hotel rooms, according to the New York Daily News. He also said Sandusky would touch him on his leg, “like I was his girlfriend” during car road trips.
When cross examined by the defense, Victim 4 said he was too afraid to go to authorities. He also expressed that as a child, he enjoyed the free things Sandusky would provide, such as access to Penn State players and lavish gifts.
“No way, I was too scared to. . . the other things were nice. I didn’t want to lose that,” he said.
CBS reported that Victim 5 and assistant football coach Mike McQueary will testify on Wednesday.
